Salam Initiative
أَيّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصلُوا الْأرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجنَّةَ بِسَلام
Inspiration
This Initiative is inspired by the following hadith:
Abdullah bin Salam (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "O people, exchange greetings of peace, feed people, strengthen the ties of kinship, and pray in the night while others are asleep, you will enter Jannah in peace.”
Purpose
Bringing the community together with events and connections that revolve around the Quran and sunnah framed under the hadith of Salam.
The initiative's current main purpose is to emphasize the instruction of the Prophet ﷺ in order to establish a strong, unified community within the DFW metroplex. We hold community events across the metroplex that encourage us all to meet one another, pray with and for each other, and enjoy the company of our fellow brothers and sisters.
Goal
The initiative's main goal is to emphasize the instruction of the Prophet ﷺ in order to establish a strong, unified community within the DFW metroplex. We look forward to holding community events across the metroplex that encourage us all to meet one another, pray with and for each other, and enjoy the company of our fellow brothers and sisters. These events will be inspired by the aforementioned hadith and will include (but will not be limited to) lectures and reminders catered towards the community, community dinners, family events for amusement and religious betterment as well as Qiyam/Quran nights with the intent of reflecting over the Quran and Sunnah.
